Osjetljiva koža predstavlja sve veći problem u svijetu. 264 milijuna žena smatra da im je koža osjetljiva.[1]  Smatra se da se 1 od 2 osobe barem jednom u životu susretne s osjetljivošću svoje kože.[2] Ovim problemom zahvaćene su sve dobne skupine, od beba do starijih osoba. Prebiotici su nutrijenti koji stimuliraju rast  i/ili aktivnost određenih bakterija kako bi pružile osnovne uvjete za održanje ravnoteže zdrave i snažne kože.
