130 TISUĆA KUNA LIONSI DARUJU STRADALIMA U POTRESU U ZAGREBU

Fondacija Lions Club International pokazala je veliko srce i na zamolbu Lions Distrikta 126 Hrvatska donirala 10 tisuća američkih dolara (69.400 kuna) za pomoć stradalima u potresu koji je nedavno pogodio Zagreb.  Sredstva ove hitne donacije Fondacije Lions Club International namijenjena su isključivo za potrebe hrane, odjeće i obuće, pokrivača, flaširane vode, higijenskih i medicinskih potrepština za one koji su direktno pogođeni posljedicama potresa u fazi neposredno nakon nesreće. Sredstva LCIF fonda ne mogu biti korištena za građevinsku obnovu, kupnju opreme za domaćinstva, građevinski materijal niti za stambeno zbrinjavanje žrtava potresa.

Uz pomoć članova Lions klubova i partnera Alce Zagreb, koja je na raspolaganje stavila svoje skladište, parkirališni manipulativni prostor, kutije, mehanizaciju i transport, Lions Distrikt 126 Hrvatska s veseljem je realizirao cijelu akciju od zaprimanja prve informacije, izrade projektne dokumentacije, do prikupljanja robe, te uspio i udvostručiti vrijednost inicijalne donacije na ukupno 130 tisuća kuna.

Lionsi su u rekordnom roku formirali radnu grupu u Zagrebu koja je najprije putem Gradskog ureda za socijalnu zaštitu grada Zagreba  i Župe Sv. Šimuna i Tadeja u Markuševcu detektirala najhitnije potrebe stradalih kada su u pitanju prehrambeni proizvodi i higijenske potrepštine. Tada su, uz pomoć Alce Zagreb, kreirali jedinstveni obiteljski paket u kojem se nalazi 21 proizvod. Slaganje 400 paketa organizirali su članovi LC klubova u posebnim uvjetima uvažavajući sve preporuke Stožera civilne zaštite. Isporučeno je 60 takvih paketa u potresom najteže pogođeni Markuševec i 340 paketa gradu Zagrebu u čije ime je pakete zaprimio Crveni križ grada Zagreba. Distribuciju i detaljnu evidenciju distribucije će potrebitima obaviti župa u Markuševcu, Mjesni odbori te Vijeća gradskih četvrti u područjima grada i okolice pogođenim potresom direktno stradalima slabijeg imovnog stanja. Lionsi ovoga puta uvažavajući preporuke Stožera civilne zaštite neće direktno dijeliti pakete potrebitim građanima.
